My slice of heaven

Does anyone else  in Twi-land work in Big Corporation World?  My multi-national employer was $10 Billion big in 2010 & announced they would be $20 Billion big by 2020 no matter what the cost.  Of course much of the cost is felt mostly by the little people like me.  

Earlier this year my dept was reduced to bare bones staffing level. Then one of the remaining members of our team went out on medical leave.  The rest are left with waaaaay too much work.  If it weren't for Edward, we would loose our minds. You always miss the little things the most. 

This is a true story of what actually happened when Miss Betty (my co-worker) was having a very long, very stressful day.

Listen to the story of a vamp named Ed

Poor little toy with barely a thought in his head

Then one day he was hanging out at work

And found one of his gals was being treated like a jerk.

Bad, real bad.

Next thing she knows, Betty looks up to sees this and asks “what is Edward doing now?” Well, we all KNOW how protective Edward gets.

I call this Kut-a-bitch Edward, because that is what he wanted to do

 to the next person who upset Miss Betty last week.

Yesterday was the day after a holiday in the States.  Yippee for a three day weekend.  Not so much joy for trying to cram two full days of work into one day AND work on issues for friend on medical leave at the same time.  You want to know how crazy things got?  Well at one point Edward decided he had won the Prettiest Ward context at work.  He even has the Beauty Queen sash & wave. He does things like this to cheer me up.

Just don't tell him he is the only Mini E at work.

Things got so bad yesterday (trust me, you don't want details), that it popped into my head that I would be better off dead. Thought is common for me in times of stress, but I haven't had any attempts since I was a teenager.  Thanks to my psychiatrist I was able to recognize that I don't really want to be dead, I just want a fantasy about being removed from all the current stress.  Didn't take me long from that point to realize there are better fanasies to be had.

Um, where was I going with this post?  After those last three pictures I just can't remember. Maybe that was the point.
